Argentina was also a small penguin fest because their eggs were hatching, therefore during this wildlife adventure, we were lucky enough to observe the fluffy creatures gradually emerge. What’s more, on a wildlife excursion at Boulders Beach in South Africa you can actually swim with them (but seemingly they’ve horrible bite which defies their adorability).
Another of my favorite wildlife adventure Wildlife Travel trips must be investigating the ancient Mayan ruins of Tikal buried deep in the steamy jungle in Guatemala. With numerous colourful birds and swinging howler monkeys in the tree canopies, this really was an unforgettable independent wildlife excursion. What’s more, climbing the pyramids gives a bird’s eye view of the keel billed Toucans and Aricaris. There are more than 40 unique kinds of Toucans with different colored beaks, if you see one that you normally find a few in succession. Once here, I ate a stay termite since the manual told me it tasted of carrots and I didn’t believe him but it was true!
On an independent wildlife excursion in Ubud, Bali, my traveling partner was bitten with a very cheeky little fighter who really drew blood as he reached to get a yellow leaflet from his rucksack which the fighter opts to get a banana. The white faced (capuchin) monkeys in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica might appear innocent, but are actually quite aggressive. As a result of daft tourists continuously feeding themthey take it on themselves to delve to the bags of unsuspecting visitors to steal their meals whilst they’re swimming. You need to keep a sharp eye, as their skillful yet naughty little fingers can open zips and locks!
One independent wildlife excursion that I’m unlikely to forget anytime soon must be on a wildlife tour in Monteverde cloud forest reserve, Costa Rica. I was shocked when the guide put his torch to some hole in the sand wall right near my head and out flew a bird; indoors was a large fat hairy tarantula that had only had its lunch interrupted. And boy didn’t scream!
